Profile:
Stephanie joined IEEP as a policy analyst in the Fisheries and Marine Programme in January 2010 after completing a three month internship in the team. Stephanie has worked on a number of projects related to the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy and European fisheries subsidies. She also plays a key communcations role within IEEP. She holds an undergraduate degree in Environment, Ecology and Economics and an MSc in Marine Environmental Management both from the University of York. Prior to working at IEEP Stephanie spent some time working at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans in Newfoundland, Canada, studying the implementation of ecosystem based management in Canadian fisheries policy.

The EU Water Blueprint: Assessing the policy options
The Water Blueprint proposes action to address 12 key problems for Europe’s waters. An IEEP led study found that improved guidance, information system, data exchange and funding were the best instruments to address many of these problems, with limited scope for new law.
